Hope Center invites YOU to join the men and women dedicated to expressing Christian love and compassion to those facing an unplanned pregnancy through the following volunteer opportunities.

You can play a vital role in this powerful ministry.

PEER ADVISOR: Requirements
  1. Attend 21-hour training course
  2. Attend volunteer in-service meetings
  3. Interview with Director
  4. Learn how to instruct client to perform pregnancy tests
  5. Learn how to do intake forms
  6. Familiarize yourself with resources for client referral
  7. Become familiar with the ESTHER program materials and guidelines
CLOTHING/BABY SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT MINISTRY (HOPE’S BABY SHOPPE) Requirements
  1. Spend minimum of 6-10 hours per month in storage area
  2. Help organize donated clothing, furniture, etc.
  3. On-site sorting, folding and hanging clothing
FUNDRAISER Requirements
  1. Be available to attend one fundraiser every 6 or 12 months and help as needed
  2. Assist with publicity to communities and churches
  3. Serve on a planning committee
  4. Pray about beginning or continuing personal financial support
BABY SHOWER COORDINATOR Requirements
  1. Work with churches, groups or individuals who want to give baby showers for clients
  2. Be responsible for obtaining and distributing clients’ need list
EDUCATIONAL SPEAKER Requirements
  1. Listen to training tapes or CD’s
  2. Keep current on reading material from the office
  3. Be responsible for all literature available at your presentation
  4. Familiarize yourself with videos, DVD’s, etc.
  5. Know brief history of Hope Center and how it currently operates
  6. Interview with Director
  7. Make presentations for civic groups, church groups or churches
CHURCH REPRESENTATIVE Requirements
  1. Check with Hope Center’s staff to see if your church already has a representative
  2. If not, share with your pastor about Hope Center and discuss your desire to be a representative
  3. Approval is based in part on your pastor’s recommendation
  4. Relay prayer requests to church members
  5. Have a general understanding of abortion issues
  6. Promote and encourage participation in and support of fund-raising events
  7. Keep church members informed of happenings at Hope Center
  8. Maintain an awareness of pro-life activities and legislation
  9. Create an awareness of Hope Center’s needs and how they can help
OFFICE RECEPTIONIST/WORKER (Training provided) Requirements
  1. Spend 4-6 hours per week at Hope Center in the office
  2. Be familiar with general office procedures
  3. Answer the telephone
  4. Schedule clients
  5. Greet clients
  6. Make copies
  7. File papers
  8. Work at the computer (with Director’s approval)
