Earn-While-You-Learn Program
What is it? A learning tool that provides the necessary information to be the best parents our clients can be.
Support includes:
- Support and mentoring- at Hope Center we can see a client once a week through their pregnancy until their child’s 3rd birthday.
- Parenting Education – our parenting curriculum is a great way to provide a loving guide to disciplining children as well as how to show and really love your child.
- Life Skills – are vitally important so that our clients can break the cycle that leads them to Hope Center in the first place. Some examples of the lessons including, making a commitment for abstinence, manage finances, credit, budgeting and major purchases.
- Bible Study – there are three modules to start a foundation in Christ. Our Bible studies start with the basics and builds. The Bible study is perfect for our clients who are just starting to learn about how to live a Christian life.
- Mens Fraternity – The Quest for Authentic Manhood (coming soon) is a time-tested resource that has been used all over the world to make their pursuit of noble manhood a lifelong priority.
How often? Clients can make an appointment once a week to meet with a peer advisor. The advisor will set up a personal plan to help with the specific situation the client is in.
How do they Earn Points? Each time a client makes and keeps an appointment, they will earn points. They can earn points by bringing a support person with them to their appointment, by doing their take home work, watching a dvd, and by simply keeping their scheduled appointment.
What can they use their points on? At Hope Center, we have everything a woman would need to take care of a baby. We have baby wipes, diapers, clothes, maternity clothes, bottles, formula, baby food, high chairs, cribs and car seats and much more.
Why was this program created? At Hope Center, we recognize the importance of being a responsible parent as well as having a healthy pregnancy and we want to encourage our clients to be caring and motivated to be good at parenting. We desire that the parents know that they are not alone and can rely on our program for resources and emotional support. It is our goal that the parents who come to us will allow this educational experience to benefit their children’s lives as well as their own. We want to encourage responsibility and not be a place where people come for free material assistance.
