Abstinence Education Program
Choosing The Best™ The Leader in Abstinence - Centered Sex Education Over 3,000,000 students nationwide have made Choosing the Best a phenomenal success! Our
research-based, medically accurate programs motivate students to make healthier choices through relationship education, refusal-skill coaching, character education, and parent-teen interviews. We’ve tailored our five programs for specific ages:
Middle School Programs
- Choosing the Best WAY
6th Grade. Reinforced by posters and activities, these 6 lessons teach how to make decisions, assess relationships, and choose abstinence.
- Choosing the Best PATH
7th Grade. Challenging enough to keep middle-schoolers’ attention, 8 lessons cover the myths of “safe” sex and the benefits of abstinence.
- Choosing the Best LIFE
8th Grade. Empowering students to form healthy, positive relationships, 8 lessons dynamically reinforce abstinence through real-life teen stories and role-play.
High School Programs
- Choosing the Best JOURNEY
9th-10th Grades. Targeting lower high school students, this inspiring 8 lesson curriculum motivates students to set goals, make good decisions, develop healthy relationships, and choose abstinence.
- Choosing the Best SOUL MATE
11th-12th Grades. In 5 lessons, older students learn valuable relational skills necessary for a successful marriage, including the importance of abstinence.
Hope Center has a staff member that continues to educate the teens in the five local counties that we serve. The past school year, 2009-2010, Hope Center’s Abstinence Education Staff taught more than 1,800 students in Western Kentucky.
